Get involved

We have lots of exciting opportunities across the UK for you

Why RNID needs you!

People get involved with us for all kinds of reasons. Perhaps you're deaf or hard of hearing yourself? Maybe one of your friends or family members has tinnitus? Perhaps you're keen to develop new skills? Or maybe you just want to 'give something back'? Whatever your motivation, we welcome people of all ages and backgrounds, whether they're hearing, deaf or hard of hearing.

What opportunities do we offer?

Although the opportunities at RNID are plentiful and varied, they fall into six main categories:

Campaigning

If you want to help us raise awareness and challenge attitudes about deafness, join our campaigns network. We'll send you our monthly e-mail newsletter with our latest campaign news and give you ideas about what you can do to help.

Joining

The best and easiest way to get all the latest information on a wide range of issues facing deaf and hard of hearing people is to join RNID. As one of thousands of members, you'll receive a great range of benefits, including our award-winning members-only magazine, One in Seven.

Volunteering

Volunteering with RNID can offer many opportunities, including learning more about the world of deafness, gaining experience in promotional work, fundraising and public speaking. Many of our volunteers have a hearing loss themselves, giving them a unique insight into the issues that deaf and hard of hearing people face every day.

Fundraising

As a charity, we largely depend on voluntary contributions to meet the ever-increasing demand for our services. Every year, we need to raise around £18 million so that our life-transforming work can continue. Funding possibilities are endless, ranging from running a sponsored marathon to leaving a legacy in your will.

Donating

We're grateful for every single donation we receive, big or small, which allows us to continue our important work. Donating is easy. Just go to our online donation form to find a variety of ways to give to RNID. Or call us on
