Katie:[signing] I was angry before... Very sad [spells] K-S

Heather: [interprets] Before, I was angry before... I was sad

Heather:[signing and speaking] What do you like about living here?

Katie: [signing] I like it here, it’s nice, I enjoy this house here, real happiness.

Heather: [interprets] I like it here, it’s nice I enjoy the house now.

Heather: She goes to the gym. Do you like your exercises?

Katie: [signing] Yes, I like my exercises. I have a big ball and an exercise bike, they’re nice to use. I cycle it, it’s fantastic.

Heather: [interprets] Yes, I like my exercises. I have an exercise bike and a ball. They’re nice. I cycle it. It’s fantastic.

Heather: Do you cook here? Living here, she puts things in the oven. Who buys your clothes? She has lots of clothes – lots of trousers, lots of tops and a jacket. She buys them herself.

Katie: [signing] Yes, I buy them myself.

Heather: [interprets] Katie says she buys them herself.

Heather: [interprets] I like my bedroom.

Katie: [signing] I like TV, I watch TV.

Heather:[interprets] It has a TV and I watch TV.

Heather: What she likes on TV is Home and Away. ‘I enjoy it, it’s nice’ She likes hospital programmes as well on the TV.

Katie: [signing] I make juices with fresh fruits, apples which I love. It’s nice, great fun now it’s better and healthy for me.

Heather: [interprets] I make smoothies with fresh fruits, with apples. Better now, more healthy, independent with cooking, eating.

Katie: [signing] I give them food, I cook meals for them.

Heather: [interprets] I work with people, I give them food, food to eat.

Heather: And are you happy to go out and meet people and support them in the community? Are you happy to do that?

Heather: [signing] I like people and working with people. Before I go to Rhiannon’s house, it was an old house.

Heather: Did you cook for yourself in the different house? [interprets] No, I didn’t cook for myself in the old house. I didn’t go to the gym before, I’m better now. It’s different, I’m better.

Heather: [signing and speaking] What do you think of RNID? Good? Bad? What do you think?

Katie: [signing] They’s good, I like them, they are brilliant Heather: [interprets] I like them, they’re brilliant.

Heather: [signing and speaking] Do you feel happy now?

Katie: [signing] Yes, much happier now, feeling better that I’m smiling. It’s a lot better now, it’s brilliant. I am calm now, very very calm, happier and peaceful, it’s better now.

Heather:[interprets] Yes, I am happy now, I am better now, I’m smiling. It’s a lot better now, it’s brilliant. I am calm now, very very calm, smiling and peace, it’s better now.
